Why KRISENFEST exists
In January 2026, the power went out in Berlin. Not for a few hours – for five days. 45,000 households were in the dark, in the middle of winter. No heating, no light, no mobile service. The supermarkets in the area were sold out within a few hours.
We were one of those households.
And we were not prepared. No flashlight at hand, no non-perishable food in the cupboard, no radio without electricity. That night, we sat by candlelight at the kitchen table and wondered: Why haven't we taken care of this long ago? We knew about the BBK recommendation. We just never implemented it – like most people in Germany.
KRISENFEST was born from this experience.
What we do differently
We are not survival experts. We are not preppers. We are ordinary people who have understood that preparedness is not a hobby for extreme cases – but something that belongs in every household. As self-evident as a fire extinguisher or home insurance.
That's why we built KRISENFEST the way we would have wanted it ourselves: Ready-made packages that you order, put on a shelf, and forget about. No hours of research, no scrambling to gather things from twenty different shops, no risk of forgetting something important.
Each of our packages is assembled according to the official checklist of the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance. Nothing more, nothing less. No unnecessary bulk, nothing superfluous – but everything you and your family need in an emergency.
